Access from JR Station

1. From JR Sapporo Station, change to the Namboko Subway Line (the Green Line) and take the subway to Susukino Station (Miyanosawa direction).
2. Take the fourth exit to the right (Susukino Station exit 4), and continue along the main road (National Highway 36) for about 5 minutes.
3. At the fifth traffic light, you will see a gas station on the corner. Turn left on the street before this.
4. On the right hand side, you will see a coin-laundry, next to a Seven-Eleven and the Social Hostel 365 entrance is to the left.

We have no parking available onsite, but there are a number of pay-and-display carparks available locally. Please ask us for directions if this is required at the time of check-in.



1. Happy Laundry
There is a laundrette located next door to the guesthouse which is open until 11pm. This is the best place to do any washing accumulated on your journey, and is a 2 second walk from Social Hostel 365.


2. Seven-Eleven (South 5 Store)
This convenience store is only a 10 second walk from our guesthouse. There is a 24 hour ATM service available, which supports international credit and debit cards.
3. Marusho
This is a reasonably priced supermarket, only a 4 minute walk from our guesthouse. It is open between 10am and 10pm, and food can be purchased in the evening for as little as 300 yen. You can also buy fresh fruit and vegetables.

4. Kirakuyu
This bathhouse was founded in 1942, and many local people gather here. There is also a sauna is you feel the need to relax after a long journey. (This bathhouse is available for guests with a tattoo). It is open from 12noon until midnight (except for Fridays) and is a 5 minute walk.
5. Yamahana Onsen
This is a small hot spring in a residential area, which is good for warm relaxation. It is open between 1.30pm and 10.30pm (except for Mondays) and is a 10 minute walk from our guesthouse.


6. Ramen Shingen (South 5 Store)
A well-established ramen store, selling traditional Sapporo miso ramen with a thick noodle. It is open 7 days a week from 11.30am to 1am and is a 3 minute walk away.
7. Ebi Soba Ichigen
Ebi Soba (Prawn Soba) Main Restaurant This restaurant attracts visitors from all over Japan because of the delicious combination of shrimp and noodles. It is open from 11am until last orders at 3am (or whenever the soup is sold out!), except for Wednesdays. It is a 5 minute walk.

8. Goonies
This restaurant is located next door to our guesthouse and take away is also possible. Open from 11.30am until 11pm each day, and a 2 second walk away.
9. Lamai Sapporo Centre Store
Delicious soup curry at a reasonable price, in a very fashionable store. Open from 11am until 10pm each day, and a 5 minute walk away.
10. Soup Curry Samurai Sakura Store
Samurai sells healthy soup curry that is full of vegetables, and is especially popular with women. It is open daily between 11.30am and 3.30pm, and 5.30pm and 11pm. It is an 8 minute walk from our guesthouse.

Genghis Khan (BBQ Lamb)

11. Dharma Sapporo
This restaurant was founded over 60 years ago and is a specialist in delicious BBQ lamb and sauce. There are also 3 other stores in Susukino. It is open from 5pm to 3am each day and is a 7 minute walk.
12. Yamaka
This store offers fresh lamb, specially flavoured with salt and pepper, and ramen eaten with Ghengis Khan sauce. It is open from 5pm to 11pm (except for the first Sunday of each month) and is an 8 minute walk away.
13. Menyotei
This is a well established restaurant, selling local lamb. It is open from 5.30pm- 3am daily and is a 7 minute walk away.


14. Kaiyo-tei Susukino Shop
In this restaurant, you can enjoy the fresh seafood of Hokkaido at a reasonable price. This is a very popular and thriving store and is open daily from 5pm to 11pm. It is a 4 minute walk from our guesthouse.
15. Kastuissen
We recommend this store for fresh and delicious Hokkaido sushi. It is located in the ferris wheel building and is open between 11am and 3pm, and 4.30pm and 11pm daily. It is a 7 minute walk.
16. Hachikyou
In this restaurant you can experience extreme ‘tsukko rice’! If you are a large group you should make a reservation in advance. Open from 6pm until midnight each day and an 8 minute walk away.

17. Tanukikoji Shopping Street 6-10 Chome

This is a local shopping arcade which contains a variety of bars, restaurants and entertainment that open after 6pm. It is a popular spot and many local people gather here in the evenings (although Monday night is often when shops are closed).

10 Chome “Kinfuji”
This is an historic BBQ meat restaurant, which we recommend for guests who want to get a feel of local culture.
9 Chome “Katakoto”
This is a small Asian restaurant, which sells cheap (but good) food and has a homely atmosphere.
9 Chome “Goemon Ramen”
A ramen shop selling nostalgic soy sauce ramen.
8 Chome “Fab Cafe”
A fashionable cafe that sells lunch until 8.30pm
7 Chome “Kalahana”
Kraft beer and cider shop.
7 Chome “Tanuki Square”
There are more than 10 shops in Tanuki Square, with many dining and drinking options. There is also a hookah shop for smoking flavoured tobacco.
7 Chome “Kopitiam”
This is a thriving shop selling Singaporean cuisine. It has friendly staff, a decorative interior and great, authentic food.
6 Chome “TK6″
This is a bar where many foreign residents of Sapporo gather, with a very western interior and atmosphere.


18. a-life
A famous dance club in Sapporo, which is busy every weekend. It is a 5 minute walk.
19. Riviera Sapporo
This club is a sister club to a-life. Opened in 2013, and many young people gather here. It is a 7 minute walk.
20. Omnibus Sapporo
Omnibus is a stylish club that opened in 2014. It’s most well known for it’s weekend EDM parties that continue until the morning!


This store sells Hokkaido-made products and supports local crafts, which make the perfect souvenirs to take back home. It is a 3 minute walk from the Tozai Line 18-Chome Station. From our guesthouse, it is a 10 minute walk to the Tozai Line 11-Chome Station, and you then arrive after one station.
Although at first glance this store looks like an old mansion, it actually contains many cafes, grocery stores, handicraft workshops, record shops and other stores usually only known to locals. The entrance is an automated lock system, so please ring the bell to enter. (Most shops are only open from noon on the weekends, so please check the Space 115 wesbite for more information). It is a 4 minute walk from the Tozai Line 18-Chome Station
